Personalised treatment for everyone's unique needs
I work together with people to provide strategies and tools to help people improve their psychological flexibility. This assists with promoting wellbeing and behaviour change to enable people to move towards a life of value and meaning for them. I use evidence-based psychological therapies in Australia and New Zealand to assist people with their difficult life situations or concerns. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or quick fix. Therapy is a healing and learning process that requires participation from both the client and therapist.
Why the name? The dandelion is an example of strength and resilience. In spite of all the adversity and tough conditions of the environment, the dandelion still finds a way to grow and flourish. The dandelion sends a strong tap root deep into the ground anchoring it through difficult storms and times. Although many consider it a weed, the dandelion knows children will make wishes upon it which release its seeds to grow and reproduce.
Psychology Services
Sessions are 50 minutes and either in-person or online via video conferencing for anyone who needs a psychologist in Australia and New Zealand.
Individual Counselling
Counselling for adults and adolescents. A caring empathic space is provided to allow you to explore the challenges in your life and assist with self-growth. A collaborative formulation and treatment plan tailored to your needs is developed.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy addresses difficulties in relationships, and we work together to provide tools and skills to improve your relationship. This work is conducted using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Therapy approaches.
Life Coaching
Life coaching is for those that want to move towards their goals and be accountable for the changes their desire. It involves identifying goals and checking in weekly to monitor progress and deal with obstacles.
Workshops & Training
Supervision in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) based on 15 years' experience in this area. Workshops for groups or workplaces on topics such as mindfulness, stress management, personality types, improving workplace culture.
